On 10 May 2012, Rozalia Zubczyć, a resident of Tomisław (Osiecznica municipality), celebrated her 102nd birthday. The resident of our county was born in Grabasznica (Yugoslavia). Her parents came from Galicia. They emigrated to Yugoslavia with the intention of moving to the United States. However, these plans were thwarted by the outbreak of World War II.
Mrs Rozalia came to Poland in June 1946 and settled in Tomisław (Osiecznica municipality), where she still lives today. She is the oldest resident of the municipality.
The birthday celebrant's husband has been dead for 37 years. The woman lives with her daughter. The 102-year-old is treated with folk medicine (herbs and infusions) and still has a good appetite.
The editorial staff of the Istotne.pl website and the “Istotne Informacje” newspaper wish Mrs Rozalia two hundred years of life.
