Lech Dyblik will perform in Bolesławiec with the programme “My Father Lenin”. Inspired by Wojciech Wysocki and fascinated by the Russian language, the artist sings criminal songs from those parts. It took him four years to learn to play the guitar and polish his Russian songs. To convey the authenticity of the lyrics, he even learned Odesa criminal slang from a friend.

Dyblik is one of Wojciech Smarzowski’s favourite actors. He appeared in “The Dark House”, “The Wedding”, “Rose” and “Treatment”, a Television Theatre production directed by Smarzowski. He also played a small role in Machulski’s “Kiler” (as Wstrętny), and makes guest appearances in well-known television series, including as a forester in “The World According to the Kiepskis”, in “The Presbytery” (as Kazimierz Jaskuła) and in “Father Matthew” (as a painter).

All proceeds from the concert will go towards helping little Laura Łubaniewska, who is bravely fighting severe drug-resistant epilepsy. Little Laura’s rehabilitation is very expensive; the girl takes part in numerous residential rehabilitation programmes and also undergoes daily drug treatment. The concert is an opportunity to support the child and her parents. Lech Dyblik has donated PLN 200 from his fee to Laura.

The concert will take place on 25 May (Friday) at 7:00 p.m. at the Old Theatre. Charity tickets costing PLN 20 can be purchased at Biuro Podróży “Perfekt” on Sierpnia ’80 Street and at the headquarters of Bolesławieckie Stowarzyszenie Abstynentów “Przemiana” at 38a Komuny Paryskiej Street.
