Janina Sarzyńska will show watercolours from the series “She Dances. Why Does She Dance?” and “Under the Bookmark.” For Dominika Kustosz, this will be her first exhibition in her hometown. A graduate of the University and Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań, she will present drawings and oil paintings.

The young artist is fascinated by the art and culture of Asia. “My fascination began in childhood with Japanese animation and matured along with me,” explains Dominika Kustosz. “The next stage was my fascination with art and language. These two passions accompanied me throughout my studies in Poland and continue to do so today.

Dominika Kustosz’s artistic explorations focus mainly on the human body. It is most often anonymous. The artist analyses selected parts of it, searching for the beauty of their lines, folds and hollows, a range of shades and reflections, and the colours she wants to see in them.

The exhibition opening will take place on 20 April at 5:00 p.m. at the Michał Twerd Gallery at the II Secondary School. The school’s headmaster, Mirosław Sakowski, invites everyone to join the artists.
