Mrs. Marianna Maj lived through two world wars and the Silesian Uprising. She also experienced the difficult times of martial law, and later witnessed Poland joining NATO. Recently, another historic event was added to the rich chronicle of her life, when Poland joined the European Union.
Mrs. Marianna Maj has lived in Bolesławiec for more than half a century. The distinguished celebrant has raised three generations of descendants. She is the mother of four children, grandmother of eight grandchildren and great-grandmother of fourteen great-grandchildren. Recently, her family status rose even higher, as she became the great-great-grandmother of one great-great-granddaughter.
Looking back on her entire life, she says that she experienced many good things during that time. Mrs. Marianna Maj is a deeply religious Christian who has been closely connected with the life of the Bolesławiec parish on Kościelna Street for many years. She is also a musical person and particularly enjoys playing the piano. Although her eyes have already failed her, this does not stop her from continuing to enjoy life.
On the occasion of this momentous anniversary, the Boleslawiec.org editorial team wishes the celebrant inexhaustible joy and peace of mind every day! The website's readers also join in these wishes.
