Police officers from Polkowice arrested a 35-year-old resident of Bolesławiec. The man is suspected of depriving a resident of Lubań of her liberty and forcing her into prostitution. The 21-year-old woman was held in a rented apartment in Polkowice. Police officers freed the woman, while the 35-year-old man from Bolesławiec was taken into police custody. Officers determined that the woman had been held and forced into prostitution for approximately seven days.
The man from Bolesławiec has already been charged. He will face charges of human trafficking and pimping. The court in Lubin remanded him in custody for three months. The man faces up to 15 years in prison.
