The incident occurred on February 28 in Świętoszów. Around noon, an employee of a courier company was attacked with a knife in one of the apartments. The attacker stole three computers and money from the courier. The losses were estimated at more than PLN 20,000.
The victim was taken to hospital. He has a damaged liver and has already undergone surgery. His life is not in danger.
The perpetrator fled. Steps are being taken to establish the knife attacker’s identity and arrest him. Investigators suspect that the robbery was committed by someone from outside Osiecznica Municipality. The man probably rented an apartment in Świętoszów for this very purpose. He faces up to 12 years in prison.
A knife attack also occurred on the night of February 24–25 on Łukasiewicza Street. Two men were drinking alcohol. An argument broke out. One of them grabbed a knife and stabbed the other.
If it turns out that the victim suffered serious bodily harm, the attacker will face up to 10 years in prison.
