The District Primary Schools Handball Championship is now behind us. On Monday, February 13, the final matches of the competition were played. In the girls’ category, the team from Primary School in Nowogrodziec won, playing in the following lineup: Patrycja Pańkowska, Klaudia Kotulska, Klaudia Grabasz, Paulina Bujak, Alicja Chmielowiec, Natalia Kamińska, Martyna Kowalska, Kamila Nazim, Katarzyna Stypczyc and Edyta Kopała. The team’s coach is Wojciech Jasiński. The handball players from Primary School No. 1 in Bolesławiec took second place, while the players from Trzebień came third.
In the boys’ category, the district championship was won by the team from Primary School No. 1 (with Mateusz Giergielewicz, Kamil Kawka, Arkadiusz Leszczyński, Kacper Kozłowski, Mateusz Mikołajewski, Norbert Małecki, Michał Dołgan, Dawid Strojek, Kamil Tyndyk, Maciej Leszczyński, Arkadiusz Ziółkowski and Mateusz Olesiński). The team’s coach is Ryszard Posacki. The handball players from Kruszyn finished second, while the team from Primary School No. 4 came third.
The two best teams in both the girls’ and boys’ categories qualified for the zonal competitions. The competition was organized by the Inter-School Sports Center, which operates within the structures of the District Center for Education and Staff Training.
