The County Championships of Upper-Secondary Schools in Volleyball have come to an end. On Tuesday, February 7, the final matches of the competition were played. In the girls’ category, the team from II Liceum Ogólnokształcącego proved to be the best, playing in the following lineup: Dorota Burdyna, Zofia Lenkiewicz, Dominika Mienculewicz, Katarzyna Melko, Katarzyna Segiet, Ewa Serkies, Sandra Ryś, Paulina Kiełb, Paulina Fuchs, Aleksandra Izowit, Justyna Wilk, Dorota Stadnik, Anna Lenkiewicz and Angelika Drozda. The team’s coach is Piotr Napiórkowski. The volleyball players from I LO came second, while representatives of Zespół Szkół Handlowych i Usługowych took third place.
In the boys’ category, the county championship was won by players from Zespół Szkół Elektronicznych, who competed in the following lineup: Miłosz Sobczak, Łukasz Krawiec, Paweł Chlastawa, Artur Kucharczak, Mateusz Połczyński, Robert Walkowiak, Tomasz Błażejewski, Jakub Osuch and Mariusz Wakulski. The team’s coach is Michał Sobczyszyn. The team from I LO took second place, and the representatives of Zespół Szkół Budowlanych finished third.
The two best teams in the girls’ category and the county champions advanced to the zonal competition. The competition was organized by Międzyszkolny Ośrodek Sportowy, operating within Powiatowe Centrum Edukacji i Kształcenia Kadr.
