As part of the “Winter 2011/2012” police operation, officers are checking places where homeless people may be staying. Police officers are also paying attention to people under the influence of alcohol (they are the ones most at risk of freezing to death), providing information and helping them reach facilities offering support to homeless people and others requiring care.
Police officers appeal to all residents of Bolesławiec County to report every person they notice lying or sitting on the ground, on benches, at bus stops or in garden allotment gazebos who could be at risk of hypothermia. Let us not remain indifferent! Our response may save someone’s life.
