The names of the winners of the 9th edition of the “Getting to Know Our Homeland” tourism competition, organized by the District Office and the Bolesławiec branch of the Polish Youth Hostels Association, have been announced. In the primary school category – individual entries, first place was awarded to Wiktor Nieratka. The second prize went to Wiktoria Szczepańska. The jury also awarded two distinctions. They went to: Paulina Owerko and Mateusz Walęga.
In the primary school category – multimedia entries, first place went to Alicja Basińska, while Maja Borowska received a distinction.
In the middle school category – individual entries, Dagmara Parchimowicz won. Second place went to Marek Drąg. The third prize went to Katarzyna Kata. The competition committee also distinguished: Marta Parada and Michał Bednarski.
In the middle school category – team entries, the first prize went to Ada Knapik, Agnieszka Rogowska, Angelika Suchy and Magdalena Domaradzka. In the multimedia entries category, Karolina Filistyńska won, while Aleksandra Wagner received a distinction.
The main organizer of the competition was Czesław Szmelter. He has decided to step down from organizing future editions of the event. Its organization will be taken over by Dariusz Kwaśniewski, a member of the Board of the Bolesławiec District. Kornel Filipowicz, Deputy Mayor of Bolesławiec, also declared his assistance.
