TAURON Polska Energia, together with its Group company TAURON Dystrybucja, has been running the Domy Pozytywnej Energii campaign for children’s homes since September. The initiative attracted considerable interest.

The main aim of the campaign was to improve the living conditions of children in children’s homes. As part of the competition, the institutions submitted illustrated fairy tales entitled “The Adventures of Tauronek the Bull – Tauronek Learns to Use Electricity in an Ecological and Safe Way.” Their hero is the mascot of the TAURON Group.

Nearly 90 children’s homes took part in the competition. On 8 November, semifinal jury meetings were held in five provinces of southern Poland, selecting 15 winners of this stage of the campaign. The verdict was officially announced at the end of November.

The semifinal galas were held in cinemas in five cities where the TAURON Group operates: Wałbrzych, Opole, Katowice, Kraków and Stalowa Wola. The competition participants had many attractions awaiting them, including 3D film screenings, games, contests, a meeting with mimes, stilt walking, face painting, treats and a traditional large cake.
