The mother of the sick children is turning to local residents with a request for financial assistance. Donations of any amount can be transferred to the account of the “Ziemia Bolesławiecka” Association: nr82 12401473 11110010 0175 6262, with the note “For Ania and Krzyś”.
Ania is 14 years old and attends the second grade of middle school. She is blind in her right eye, has recurring urinary tract infections and suffers from a rare genetic disease—hypobetalipoproteinemia. Krzyś attends an inclusive preschool. He is autistic and suffers from recurrent epilepsy; like his sister, he has the same rare genetic condition.
The children follow a special diet, with limited consumption of fats and simple sugars. Krzyś takes expensive special medication because he cannot swallow tablets. In addition, the children have been prescribed expensive vitamin supplements. They must take them continuously, but their mother cannot afford to buy them regularly. The monthly cost of the supplements is PLN 680. There are also frequent check-ups at medical centers in Wrocław and Warsaw. No one reimburses the travel costs, and PKP tickets are becoming increasingly expensive.
The mother raises the children alone and cannot count on their father’s help, which is why she is asking for assistance and support in the fight for her children’s health.
