Students from the Complex of General and Vocational Schools in Bolesławiec took part in the first edition of the “Get Healthy” competition, which was held under the patronage of four ministries: the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Ministry of National Education, the Ministry of Health, and the Ministry of the Environment.
The competition, whose aims included changing young people’s eating habits, consisted of two stages. “Our students performed very well already in the first stage,” says Laura Słocka-Przydróżna, headmistress of ZSOiZ.
In the second stage, the Eco Food Just Seven team (comprising: Mateusz Kluwak, Krystian Ciaciek, Dominika Rajczakowska, Kamil Szałatkiewicz, Tomasz Szczepanek, Magdalena Kabata and Karolina Kocan) was tasked with filming two videos: a spot promoting healthy eating and a short report on its production. “It was great fun,” says Krystian, the spot’s lead actor.
“The filming lasted several days,” says Małgorzata Tubaj, a ZSOiZ teacher and the team’s supervisor. The result? Third prize (PLN 5,500) in the upper-secondary-school category. What is more, Tadeusz Kijański, an outstanding director and chair of the jury, was so impressed by Krystian’s acting that he invited him to the Łódź film school.
The award-winning Eco Food Just Seven spot can be viewed on the “Get Healthy” competition website.
