From 8 December 2011 to 15 January 2012, an exhibition prepared by the Wrocław branch of the Institute of National Remembrance (IPN) will be on display in the town hall lobby (on the first floor). The main event marking the anniversary will be a conference entitled “It Has Already Been 30 Years… the Anniversary of Martial Law,” which will take place on 8 December in the Council Chamber. It begins at 10:00. The speakers will include IPN staff, representatives of the Wrocław-based “Memory and Future” Centre, and lecturers from the University of Wrocław. The meeting will be chaired by Prof. Grzegorz Strauchold. In addition, on 8 December from 9:30 to 10:15, the Market Square will host a historical reenactment entitled “13 December 1981,” performed by the “Bohun” Artistic Agency from Zgorzelec.

13 December A special educational programme will also be held at Municipal Gymnasium No. 2, concluding with a performance prepared by the school’s students. Furthermore, at 18:00 that day, a Mass for the homeland will be celebrated at the Church of Christ the King (Jana Pawła II Street) by Rev. Józef Gołębiowski.

The following supported the organisation of the commemorations of the 30th anniversary of the imposition of martial law in Bolesławiec: the Jelenia Góra Region Board of NSZZ “Solidarity,” the District Heating Company, the Water and Sewage Company in Bolesławiec, and the Municipal Utilities Management Company.
