Miejski Zakład Komunikacji in Bolesławiec has purchased seven new Solaris Alpino buses. Four of them were handed over on 17 November. – The company has purchased very modern Polish buses that will significantly raise the standard of services provided by MZK – says the mayor of Bolesławiec Piotr Roman.

All the buses are low-floor, and a deployable platform enables wheelchair access. Each bus can carry up to 60 passengers. A monitoring system ensures the safety of passengers. – Alpino are the first buses of this brand in Bolesławiec, but Solaris is a well-known and respected manufacturer in Poland and other European Union countries – notes Waldemar Wlazło, sales director at Solaris.

The cost of purchasing the new buses is more than PLN 6.1 million, of which over PLN 4.2 million is funding from European Union resources. MZK president Andrzej Jagiera encourages people to use public transport. This coming Sunday, 20 November, passengers will be able to travel free of charge on the new buses operating on routes 0/1, 0/3, 3 and 4.
