In October, the Youth Fire Brigade Team operating at the Volunteer Fire Department in Osiecznica completed a 16-hour first-aid course conducted by the Polish Red Cross branch in Bolesławiec. After completing the training, the young firefighters took part in night exercises supervised by Jacek Kulczycki and Wiktor Grządkowski, certified paramedics from Legnica. During the exercises, the MDP members took part, among other activities, in a simulated search operation.
Damian Tomiak, head of the MDP, would like to thank: Osiecznica Mayor Waldemar Nalazek, Danuta Zielińska of the Polish Red Cross, Jacek Kulczycki, Wiktor Grządkowski, Joanna Gucał (for looking after the firefighters), Irena Słonecka (for helping organize the course), and Anna Goździk, headmistress of the School Complex in Osiecznica.
