The incident occurred on Tuesday, 1 November, at the Orlen petrol station on Kościuszki Street in Bolesławiec. In one of the trucks parked there, granules used for spreading surfaces in Orliks caught fire. In the second lorry, registered in Grodzisk Mazowiecki, the tarpaulin burned.

Five fire service units arrived at the scene. The fire was extinguished. Firefighters smashed a window in the cab of the second lorry because they suspected its driver was inside (fortunately, he was not there). No one was hurt.

According to the owner of the truck carrying the granules, the substance could not have caught fire on its own.
