He stole razors worth a total of PLN 120 from a shelf in one of the stores in Wałbrzych on the evening of October 2.
The 26-year-old was apprehended by a security guard. He was taken to a room where he was to wait for the police to arrive. The situation then became much more serious.
He Threatened the Security Guard with a Machete
The apprehended man threatened the security guard with a machete. He demanded that the guard let him go.
Officers from the Intelligence Unit of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Wałbrzych quickly arrived at the scene. The police arrested the 26-year-old, who was then taken to a police cell.
The next day, the man was charged. He faces up to 3 years in prison.

These were not the only consequences faced by the 26-year-old. Police issued him fines for stealing the razors and for possessing a dangerous object—a machete—in a public place, under circumstances indicating an intention to use it to commit a crime.
