The County Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Bolesławiec announced that on October 5 and 6, increased traffic involving fire-service vehicles and other emergency-service vehicles can be expected in Bolesławiec County.
Particularly large numbers of vehicles may be seen in Nowogrodziec Municipality.
However, this will not be connected with an actual increase in the number of incidents. The increased activity of the services will result from scheduled rescue exercises.
Services will practice cooperation
As the Bolesławiec State Fire Service explains, the purpose of the exercises is to improve cooperation and procedures for responding to incidents that require the involvement of multiple emergency-service entities.
This means that residents may see more fire engines and vehicles belonging to other services than usual on the roads on these days.
State Fire Service calls for caution
Firefighters ask residents to exercise caution and understanding in the event of temporary disruptions connected with the movement of emergency personnel and equipment.
Therefore, if a larger number of emergency-service vehicles appears in the area on October 5 or 6, it will most likely be part of the scheduled exercises.
