DJ Kris and DJ Mixer are back with their original track “Budziwojów, Hands Up!”. The song premiered on YouTube on September 26.
As istotne.pl DJ Kris said in an interview, this is not another mix of other people’s songs. It is their own composition – they wrote the lyrics themselves and created the music themselves. The music video, meanwhile, was made with the help of AI.
They met in Budziwojów
Krzysztof, or DJ Kris, comes from Gromadka, while DJ Mixer, or Piotr, is from Lubin. Years ago, they both lived in Budziwojów.
That is where their shared musical adventure began. As DJ Kris recalls, one of them lived in the countryside and the other in an apartment block. Despite the divisions of the time, club music brought them together.
This time, they created their own track
“Budziwojów, Hands Up!” is meant to be more than just a return to music after 20 years. The song also tells the story of their past and the place they both come from.
The music video was made with AI
A music video was also made for the track.
As Krzysztof admitted, they could not afford a professional video. Therefore, they decided to use artificial intelligence. At the same time, they wanted the visuals to refer to their past, showing what they looked like and where they were twenty years ago.
This may only be the beginning
“Budziwojów, Hands Up!” is the first result of the duo’s revival. But the musicians are not slowing down – they have already announced another track.
Their next project is to be “Miedziowi 1946!”.DJ Kris is a Zagłębie Lubin supporter.
