The new football field on Graniczna Street in Bolesławiec was officially accepted on September 23. A modern sports facility has been built at the site known to residents for generations as “Rowek”; it is intended primarily for local male and female athletes.
The new field measures 110 × 61 metres and has been fitted with an artificial-turf surface. The facility also has lighting, monitoring and a sound system.
The site also includes a 101-seat stand, dugouts for substitute players and referees, ball-stop nets and the technical infrastructure necessary for the facility to operate.
Around 250 male and female footballers
According to Bolesławiec City Hall, the field is intended primarily for local residents. Under the approved schedule, daily training sessions will be held here for around 250 male and female footballers from various age groups.
The new facility is to provide a place for children and young people to develop their sporting interests, as well as a space for successive generations of athletes to train.
More than PLN 5.2 million for construction of the field
The value of the contracts related to construction of the field amounted to PLN 5 215 937.80.
The investment was carried out by Tamex Obiekty Sportowe S.A.. AWTech Ada Wanowicz was responsible for preparing the design, while investor supervision was provided by P.W.H.U. JAK-Bud Andrzej Prostak.
The construction of the field on Graniczna Street is part of a larger project to create activity spaces for the local community. The project also includes construction of an open track for roller skaters and inline skaters on the boulevard along the Bóbr.
