The City Hall signed an agreement with the contractor and handed over the construction site for the “Development of the cycling road network in the area of Bolesławiec” project. The work is intended to improve travel conditions for both cyclists and pedestrians.
Changes on 11 streets
The investment will include the reconstruction or construction of infrastructure on the following streets:
- Zgorzelecka,
- Willowa,
- Matejki,
- Okrzei,
- Sądowa,
- T. Jasińskiego and Piastów,
- Kosiby – on the lower and upper sections,
- Jeleniogórska – in two stages,
- Hutnicza.
In the case of Hutnicza Street, the construction of a pedestrian and cycling path is planned. On the other listed sections, existing infrastructure will be built or reconstructed.
According to the City Hall, the investment will serve not only people who use bicycles. The new and reconstructed pedestrian and cycling routes are intended to improve travel comfort around the city and increase the safety of road users.
More than PLN 3.6 million for the first stage of work
The contractor for the investment will be JAGIELSKI from Bolesławice. The value of the agreement is PLN 3 625 919.
Under the agreement, the work is scheduled for completion in January 2027.
This is part of a larger project concerning the development of the cycling road network in Bolesławiec. The project’s total value has been set at PLN 8 632 702.85, of which PLN 3 899 190.74 is funding.
The city announces further steps
The City Hall is already preparing further tender procedures. Conducting them will enable the continued development of the network of routes for pedestrians and cyclists in other parts of Bolesławiec.
