Officers from the Criminal Division of the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec were carrying out activities related to searching for people hiding from justice. During their work, officers established the whereabouts of a 71-year-old resident of Bolesławiec who was wanted under an arrest warrant.
The findings of the Bolesławiec criminal investigators indicated that the man was staying in Warsaw. The police officers passed the information to officers from the Wrocław Provincial Police Headquarters. Cooperation between the two units led to the arrest of the wanted man.
The 71-year-old man was wanted in connection with the need to serve a prison sentence for offenses related to illegal gambling. After his arrest, he was taken to a correctional facility.
The man will spend nearly four months behind bars.
