Jawor police:

(...) the 32-year-old Ford driver, a resident of Złotoryja County, failed to maintain a safe distance from the vehicle in front and collided with the rear of a Volvo truck’s trailer. Both vehicles were damaged in the incident. Approximately 3–4 tonnes of grain spilled from the truck’s trailer.

Officers: – The Ford driver was sober, was travelling alone and was not injured. For causing the collision, the Ford driver was fined PLN 1,500 and received 10 penalty points.

Traffic toward Legnica is currently moving in one lane. The disruption may last until around 17:00.


A serious road incident occurred on Wednesday, 26 August, on the A4 motorway toward Legnica. Before 13:00, the emergency services received a report of a collision between a delivery van and a truck.

The collision occurred at kilometre 112.6 of the A4 motorway. When the first fire service units arrived, it turned out that the van had driven into the rear of the truck’s trailer.

The impact was very powerful. The delivery van was severely damaged, particularly its front section. Despite the extent of the destruction, the van driver was extremely lucky—he emerged from the incident without visible injuries.

Emergency services are working at the scene. Firefighters are securing the site, while emergency medical teams and police officers are also carrying out operations.

Traffic disruptions are occurring in the collision area. Drivers travelling on the A4 motorway toward Legnica should exercise caution.

Firefighters from JRG Jawor and OSP KSRG Budziszów Wielki, emergency medical teams from Jawor and police officers are involved in the response. The services will determine the causes and exact circumstances of the incident.
