As reported by the Provincial Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Wrocław:

An open-air pile of timber raw material, approximately 5 metres high and covering around 1,430 m², caught fire. The operation involves 50 firefighters and 20 firefighting vehicles. The operation is being commanded by the Deputy Commander of the Bolesławiec County State Fire Service.

Fortunately, no one was injured.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, August 25. After 11:00 a.m., firefighters were dispatched to a fire in the economic zone in Osła.

According to information provided by the State Fire Service in Bolesławiec, the fire broke out in a timber raw-material storage yard at one of the plants.

Firefighting operations are ongoing. At the time the information was provided, eight fire-service units were at the scene, and another unit was on the way.

At present, there is no information about any injured persons.

Firefighters are working to contain the fire and secure the area. Due to the nature of the site and the stored material, the operation may require the deployment of additional personnel and equipment.
