In the evening, rain clouds associated with a Genoa low began moving into southwestern Poland. Rainfall and cloud cover effectively discouraged some residents and tourists from remaining beneath the main stage, where the evening’s concert was taking place. Despite this, Tabu’s concert went ahead in the falling rain.
Tabu is a Silesian reggae band that has been active continuously since 2003. The musicians have performed more than 2,000 concerts in Poland and abroad. Their distinctive sound consists primarily of melodic, rhythmic reggae, a powerful horn section and a great deal of energy during concerts. Tabu’s music also includes ska influences and Balkan elements. In front of the Bolesławiec audience, the band performed its greatest hits.
The band is the recipient of, among other honors, two Golden Beetles—audience awards at Przystanek Woodstock—and the winner of the Ostróda Reggae Festival. Tabu has released seven records, including six studio albums. The band’s latest album is “Lunapark,” released in 2023.
The Bolesławiec Ceramic Festival will continue until Sunday. During the rest of the weekend, residents and visitors can look forward to more concerts, events and ceramic fairs in the streets and at Bolesławiec’s market square.
