September 22 is Car-Free Day. On this occasion, the Ministry of the Environment, the Municipality of Bolesławiec and the Municipal Transport Company encourage residents of our city to on that day use MZK buses free of charge. All you need to have with you is a valid vehicle registration certificate for a motor vehicle and a driving licence (adults), or a valid student ID for a school or university (children and young people in education). Moreover, this Thursday, preschool children aged over 4, accompanied by an adult (who has a valid motor vehicle registration certificate and driving licence), will also travel by bus free of charge.

We remind you that, pursuant to a resolution of the Bolesławiec City Council, the following are entitled to free travel:

  • members of the Sejm and senators of the Republic of Poland
  • children under 4 years of age
  • people aged 70 and over
  • war and military invalids
  • people classified as having first-group disability, people certified as having a significant degree of disability, and their guides
  • students of special schools and their carers
  • children and young people with disabilities until they complete lower-secondary school, and their carers
  • employees, pensioners and disability pensioners of the Municipal Transport Company
  • spouses of Municipal Transport Company employees and their children entitled to family allowance
  • distinguished first-degree honorary blood donors
  • Honorary Citizens of the City of Bolesławiec.
