Police officers from the Police Station in Nowogrodziec took up the case of the 26-year-old from Bolesławiec County. According to the police findings, the tenant had previously stopped paying the amounts due for the rented premises. Because of the arrears, he had to move out.
During the move, the 26-year-old packed not only his own belongings. As it turned out, he also took items from the apartment's furnishings—a cooker and a gas cylinder.
Police reported that the man quickly sold items that did not belong to him. The owner's losses were valued at PLN 2,300.
The 26-year-old was charged with misappropriating property. Misappropriating an entrusted movable item is punishable by up to 5 years' imprisonment.
