On Friday, August 14, another stage of temporary traffic organization was introduced in the area of works involving the reconstruction of the existing bridge and construction of a new bridge over the Bóbr River in Bolesławiec.
The changes were introduced in accordance with information provided by the project contractor. The new traffic organization came into effect at approximately 11 a.m.
Traffic has returned to Widok Street
One of the most important changes is the restoration of two-way vehicle traffic on Voivodeship Road No. 350, namely Widok Street.
This applies to the section between the intersection with Fieldorfa Nila Street and the intersection with Ceramiczna Street. Drivers can once again use this section of the road in both directions.
Change at the Jerzy Szmajdziński Roundabout
The traffic organization has also changed at the Jerzy Szmajdziński Roundabout.
A three-way intersection has been introduced there. Right of way runs along National Road No. 94.
Zgorzelecka Street also remains passable. However, it is subordinate to National Road No. 94, so drivers using this connection should pay particular attention to the signs and right of way.
The changes also affect pedestrians
The new traffic organization rules also apply to pedestrians.
Pedestrian traffic along the national road has been routed from the existing crossing along the right-hand side—when traveling toward the city center—as far as Zgorzelecka Street.
Additionally, a pedestrian crossing is in operation at the intersection with Masarska Street.
How long will this stage last?
According to information provided by the contractor, the current stage of temporary traffic organization is to remain in effect until the end of August 2026.
It is worth remembering that traffic organization in the project area may change as the work progresses. Drivers traveling near the bridge reconstruction should pay attention to current signage and exercise particular caution.
The project includes the reconstruction of the existing bridge and construction of a new bridge over the Bóbr River. As the work progresses, further changes to traffic organization may be introduced in subsequent stages.
