The accident occurred after 11:00 a.m. On the 69th kilometre of the motorway, on the bridge over the Bóbr River near Golnice, a car hit the barrier and overturned. The car had German registration plates and was travelling towards Wrocław. Without the barrier, the car could have fallen from the bridge into the river.
The two people travelling in the car were taken to hospital. The lane heading towards Wrocław was blocked. Firefighters from Bolesławiec provided assistance.
