Officers from the Traffic Division of the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec once again intervened against a driver whose behaviour created a danger on the road. This time, the consequences were faced by a 36-year-old resident of Bolesławiec.

The incident occurred during the past weekend at night in the city. Officers noticed the driver deliberately putting his car into a skid twice, performing dangerous manoeuvres on a public road.

For a serious violation of traffic regulations, police officers confiscated the man's driving licence for three months. However, the matter will not end with this sanction alone—the 36-year-old will also face court.

As Bolesławiec police stress, this is not an isolated case. Previously, an identical offence was committed by a 19-year-old resident of Warta Bolesławiecka Municipality. At around 1 a.m., the young driver also deliberately put his car into a skid on Zgorzelecka Street in Bolesławiec. In addition to having his driving licence confiscated for three months, he was fined PLN 1,500 and received 10 penalty points.

Officers remind the public that deliberately putting a vehicle into a skid on public roads poses a serious danger to all road users. Such behaviour can lead to losing control of the vehicle, a collision or accidents with tragic consequences, which is why police announce that they will respond consistently to similar offences.

Officers:

We appeal to drivers to behave responsibly on the road. Public roads are not a place for showing off behind the wheel. The road is not a racetrack.
