There was no specific date as recently as yesterday

On Tuesday, PKS Bolesławiec reported that it was preparing to launch the connection following an intervention by the head of Gromadka Municipality. The company stressed at the time that organizational and formal procedures had to be completed, so it was unable to specify when the services would begin.

The very next day, however, the carrier announced that the first service would be launched on July 24, this coming Friday.

Problems began after the services were suspended

We reported on the matter after receiving messages from residents of Nowa Kuźnia. A private carrier suspended its services until the end of the summer holidays, making daily trips to work, doctors or public offices more difficult.

PKS Bolesławiec had previously stressed that it was not a party to the private carrier’s decision to suspend the connections. After receiving information about the residents’ problems and following a request from the head of Gromadka Municipality, it began efforts to launch a replacement connection.

Residents will regain access to transport

The announcement of the service launch date means that from Friday, residents of Nowa Kuźnia will once again be able to use bus transport on the route to Bolesławiec.
