The intervention took place after officers from the Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters received information that drugs were being kept in one of the apartments in the City of Ceramics. After entering the premises, the officers detected a distinctive smell, but the occupants denied storing any prohibited substances.

During a search of the room occupied by the 43-year-old man, police found marijuana hidden in a glasses case left on a chest of drawers. They then searched the room used by his 67-year-old mother.

There, under a pillow on the bed, officers found two jars containing more than 80 grams of dried plant material. Police tests showed that the secured substance was marijuana.

After the procedural activities were completed, both the woman and her son were charged with possession of narcotic substances. This offense carries a sentence of up to three years in prison.
