As reported by Super Express, 87-year-old Józef Peruga failed this year’s matura exam in Polish, mathematics and German. The senior makes no secret of his disappointment with the results and believes he was assessed unfairly. The biggest surprise for the exam candidate was his result in Polish.

Mr. Józef insists that he was satisfied with his written paper, in which he referred to “The Doll” and the work of Władysław Reymont. He came closest to achieving a passing result in mathematics – he was short by only a small number of points.

According to Super Express, the 87-year-old does not intend to give up his efforts to change the result and announces that he will file an appeal. If the procedure does not produce the expected result, he will consider taking the matura exam again next year.

This is Józef Peruga’s third attempt at the matura exam. This year, the resident of Kalisz decided to take the exam in Lower Silesia. Gazeta Wyborcza reported that it was supposed to be a school in Bolesławiec, but the exam candidate himself did not want to reveal exactly where he would take the exam. For this reason, the precise location was not made public.

What do you think—should he try once more?
