The so-called “communists” would never even have dreamed of the financial somersaults being performed now. The so-called “communists” would never even have dreamed of the divisions that you and your class comrades have created. So much for the ethos of the “fight against the communists.”
The strategy of frightening people with anything and everything, whenever possible, was the domain of fascist Germany. I have already mentioned in one of my columns how Hermann Göring responded during the Nuremberg trial. He was asked how the fascists had managed to convince society to unleash such devastation upon the world. He replied that any society can be manipulated in any way if it can be frightened and made to find a common enemy.
The fascists found the Jews, while the right wing finds “commies,” Jews and foreigners, including Ukrainians. You are—or rather, you were—a history teacher, and you do not know how such rhetoric ends? Are you such a weak politician that you resort to such primitive, hackneyed and dangerous methods?
Frightening children with the “bogeyman” has been done before. Civilization and the Brothers Grimm dealt with it. And after all that hard work, you are turning everything upside down.
After years of right-wing rule and their financial U-turns, when a right-wing politician appeals to “values,” I—guided by experience and information about financial abuses—would advise society to hold on to its pockets. Politician plus values equals costs. I have read quite a lot about politicians, politics and religions. I advise against mixing topics and ideologies.
Mr President, it is highly improper to select particular social groups for funding. The money entrusted to you belongs to all social groups. Even the “commies.” And foreigners too…
