On Wednesday (24 August), the third round of matches in the regional league was played. BKS faced Leśnik Osiecznica away. It was a clash between teams that occupied second and first place respectively after two rounds. The match was played in intense heat. The first half ended 0–0. BKS took several shots, but they were too weak to surprise the home goalkeeper. Mateusz Mucha and Wojciech Olszowiak shot at the home goal.
There was much more excitement after the break. In the 47th minute, the hosts took the lead. Dawid Kałużyński scored to make it 1–0: Dawid Kałużyński In the 55th minute, Marek Kumoś fouled Jakub Wołyński. For the foul, the referee showed the BKS player a yellow card, while Łukasz Rudyk, who had only just entered the match (an earlier substitution for Łukasz Graczyk), was shown a red card for “discussion.” After conceding, BKS had to take risks and attack. However, this did not result in an equalizer. The hosts did not waste their opportunity and increased their lead to 2–0 after a counterattack in the 77th minute. Leśnik’s third goal came in the 89th minute. It is worth noting that both goals were scored by Hubert Wojdygo.
BKS lost to Leśnik Osiecznica 0–3. Leśnik’s coach is Jakub Wołyński, a BKS youth product who played for our team last season. Next Saturday (27 August), BKS will host Lotnik Jeżów Sudecki.
