The Lubań court—at the prosecutor’s request—ordered two months of pre-trial detention for a 42-year-old woman from Lubań. According to investigators’ findings, the incident occurred on June 27, 2026, at approximately 12:15 a.m., in Lubań. The woman allegedly approached two men standing in front of a building entrance, whom she had not previously known.
Investigators state that the suspect was intoxicated and, for no apparent reason, began behaving aggressively toward the strangers. She then stabbed both men with a kitchen knife—one in the arm and the other near the ribs on the left side.
The injuries sustained by one of the victims caused a health disorder lasting more than seven days, while those suffered by the other lasted less than seven days. Moreover, during the incident, the woman allegedly insulted the victims using words commonly regarded as abusive.
The 42-year-old was arrested at the scene by officers of the District Police Headquarters in Lubań. After being brought to the District Prosecutor’s Office, she was charged with causing bodily harm and insulting the victims, also classified as a hooligan-type offense. She faces up to five years in prison.
The woman did not plead guilty to the alleged offenses and gave an explanation. She had no prior criminal convictions.
