The incident was reported by the lwowecki.info service. While patrolling the regional road in Bielanka, officers from the Traffic Division of the District Police Headquarters in Lwówek Śląski came across a road incident.
As established, the driver of a Volvo truck lost control of the vehicle after wild animals unexpectedly ran out in front of him on a forested stretch of road. Attempting to avoid a collision, the driver made a sudden steering maneuver, as a result of which he left the shoulder and then entered a roadside ditch.
As a consequence, the vehicle’s trailer overturned onto its roof. The tractor unit detached from it and drove into the ditch on its own, meaning the driver was not injured.
The scene was secured. Cleanup work is underway to remove the spilled load of stones, which contaminated the shoulder and roadway. As a result, traffic disruptions may continue for some time, and traffic is moving alternately in both directions.
