Bielawa Jezioro and Bielawa Góry Sowie – these are two new points on the map of the Lower Silesian railway network. In 2019, after more than 40 years, rail connections to Bielawa were restored, and now, thanks to an investment by the voivodeship, Koleje Dolnośląskie trains will reach the foothills of the Sowie Mountains.

– In 2019, Bielawa regained its rail connections after more than 40 years. It was the first, record-fast revitalisation, setting a trend for the reconstruction of railway lines by the Self-Government of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship. Soon, the line will reach Srebrna Góra, and already now – before the 2026 summer holidays – we are opening the section to Lake Bielawskie and further to the Bielawa Góry Sowie station, making these unique places accessible to Koleje Dolnośląskie passengers – says Paweł Gancarz, Marshal of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship.

Line D4, connecting Bielawa with Wrocław on the section from Dzierżoniów, was rebuilt using funds from the Marshal’s Office, with the support of European Union funds. This 10-kilometre section forms part of the 300 km of railway routes that the Lower Silesian Voivodeship plans to rebuild independently by the end of the current term.

– A quarter of a million Lower Silesian residents have regained access to rail transport in recent years. Year after year, we are breaking passenger records and reaching new locations. The railway revolution in Lower Silesia continues, and trains are the only remedy for congested cities and a chance to eliminate transport exclusion in the region – says Michał Rado, Deputy Marshal of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship, responsible, among other things, for rail transport.

From Sunday, 14 June 2026, we will be able to reach Bielawa, Lake Bielawskie, where a scenic lake awaits us, by Koleje Dolnośląskie trains. The Bielawa Jezioro stop is approximately 300 metres from the lake shore.

KD Sprinter trains to Leszno – 11 minutes from Wrocław to Oborniki Śląskie

By Koleje Dolnośląskie train, we will reach Oborniki Śląskie from Wrocław Mikołajów in 11 minutes. From Wrocław Główny – in 16 minutes. Żmigród? 26 minutes from Wrocław Główny, 20 minutes from Wrocław Mikołajów.

KD Sprinter trains, the fastest regional trains in Poland, will operate on line D3 from Wrocław to the north of the voivodeship. Six trains from Wrocław and eight trains to Wrocław will get passengers there in less time, stopping only at selected stations.

– Travel time is one of the most important factors leading passengers to choose rail instead of the car. In 20 minutes, we will reach Wrocław Mikołajów from Żmigród – where global corporations have their offices next to the railway station. Rail transport equalises opportunities on the labour market throughout the voivodeship – says Damian Stawikowski, President of Koleje Dolnośląskie.

Leszno in the Greater Poland Voivodeship will also become a new KD destination. Previously, trains ran only to the first station in the Greater Poland Voivodeship – Rawicz. As a result, the travel time from Góra to Wrocław will be significantly reduced – from 1 hour and 50 minutes to as little as 1 hour and 11 minutes.

Let us recall that the capital of Góra County is one of the places where “replacement bus” services were introduced before the planned reconstruction of the railway line. Although the entire journey is covered by a single railway ticket, part of it is completed by bus.

After the timetable change, it will be possible to change to a train not only in Rawicz, but also in Bojanowo, which will shorten the bus journey. By using the Wrocław Główny–Bojanowo connection on a KD Sprinter, the train journey itself will also be shorter.

KD to Świnoujście: what does the timetable change mean?

In the summer timetable, as usual, KD Premium Nadmorski will depart from Lower Silesia, travelling from Wrocław via Legnica, Lubin and Zielona Góra to Świnoujście every Saturday. The train will return from the Baltic coast every Sunday. Tickets are available in the KOLEO app.

During the summer, the KD Sprinter Ryszard Szurkowski train, dedicated to cyclists and adapted to carry a larger number of bicycles on board, will also run from Wrocław to Milicz.

Whether travelling to a lake or the seaside, the timetable adjustment will mean that many trains change their departure times, so before planning a journey after 14 June, it is worth checking when our train will depart.
