The incident occurred on Saturday, 23 May. At 10:43 a.m., firefighters were dispatched to a fire in an abandoned building in Gromadka. Numerous fire service units were sent to the operation.

The danger was eliminated; fortunately, no one was injured.

Abandoned buildings are particularly dangerous sites during fires. Their technical condition is not always fully known—their structures may have been weakened by previous damage or prolonged disuse. For this reason, incidents of this kind require firefighters conducting the operation to exercise particular caution.

The services are determining the causes and circumstances of the incident.
