A weekend with bicycles in the Jizera Mountains
On the last weekend of May, the Dolnośląskie Centrum Sportu in Jakuszyce will once again become the venue for an event that attracted hundreds of cycling enthusiasts last year. This year’s BIKE FEST, taking place on 30–31 May, has been planned as a family event combining physical activity with outdoor recreation amid the Jizera Mountains.
Attractions for the whole family
The organisers have prepared a programme offering something for everyone. The youngest visitors can look forward to e-bike rides, a cycling obstacle course, games and sports competitions, inflatables and activities. Families will be able to use a photo booth, take part in a prize lottery and meet alpacas—one of the attractions that proved most popular during the first edition.
The OSP Szklarska Poręba fire service zone
An additional attraction will be a zone prepared by the KSRG Szklarska Poręba Volunteer Fire Service. The youngest visitors will have an opportunity to take a close look at firefighting equipment and learn about the work of firefighters.
“BIKE FEST is an event that proves active leisure can be great fun for the whole family. We hope that, as last year, both the weather and attendance will be favourable,” say the organisers.
Polana Jakuszycka—the gateway to active leisure
Its location at Polana Jakuszycka, at the foot of the Jizera Mountains, means that participants can combine attending the festival with a longer family weekend. The area offers numerous cycling and hiking trails, as well as accommodation and dining facilities.
Practical information
Admission to the event is free. The organisers announce that the detailed schedule and exhibitor list will be published in the coming days on the fest.bike website and on social media.
