Search called off! Thanks to international cooperation, cooperation with Internet users and the family, Lwówek police determined the missing man’s whereabouts. The missing man is safe and well, and his life is not in danger. Thank you for sharing the information so widely and for your cooperation.


Police officers from Lwówek County are conducting an intensive search for 75-year-old Vladimir (...), a Czech citizen who went missing on 6 May 2026.

According to the authorities’ statement, the man left his home in Wleń and has not contacted his family since. It was established that he had been admitted to the Emergency Department in Jelenia Góra with head injuries. After leaving the facility, he was supposed to return to his place of residence in Wleń, but he never arrived there.

The situation was particularly concerning because the 75-year-old suffered from memory loss and orientation problems.

Police stressed that the missing man might be disoriented and need immediate assistance.

At the time of his disappearance, Vladimir (...) was wearing a blue sweatshirt with gray sleeves and jeans. He had a black Adidas backpack with him. The man communicates in Polish.

Police officers are asking anyone who may have seen the missing man or has information about his current whereabouts to contact the County Police Headquarters in Lwówek Śląski urgently at 47 873 52 00 or the emergency number 112.

Every piece of information could prove crucial to finding the senior.
