On Friday, May 15, at approximately 7:00 p.m., the District Command Post of the State Fire Service in Lwówek Śląski received a report of a road incident in Bielanka. Two crews of firefighters from the State Fire Service Rescue and Firefighting Unit in Lwówek Śląski, a police patrol and a medical rescue team were immediately dispatched to the scene.
As reported by lwowecki.info, preliminary findings indicate that a 47-year-old resident of Lwówek County who was riding a bicycle most likely moved toward the center of the road, resulting in a collision with a moving truck. The injured cyclist sustained injuries and was transported to hospital.
The examination showed that both the truck driver and the cyclist were sober.
The police are establishing the details of the incident.
