On Saturday, 23 July, a festival organized by the local Volunteer Fire Department and the Youth Firefighting Brigade was held in Osiecznica. The following groups performed on stage: Nad Kwisą and Maślaki. There was also a performance by the Firefighters’ Dance Group.
The raffle and auction of a driving course, donated by Maciej Oleksy, attracted considerable interest. The event ended with dancing. DJ Loonias from Świętoszów provided the music. The proceeds from the festival (PLN 2,000) were allocated to co-financing the Youth Firefighting Brigade’s camp.
“I think the words of Sylwia Grzeszczak’s song ‘Let’s enjoy the little things, because the formula for happiness is written in them’ perfectly express what I feel now,” says Damian Tomiak, head of the Youth Firefighting Brigade. “Those taking part in the event showed that they appreciate the Brigade’s work and support it wholeheartedly. I think my charges deserve a reward for their hard work for the benefit of the municipality.”
