The “10 Squats for Zosia” campaign is gaining momentum. After Zespół Szkół Budowlanych joined the initiative, Zespół Szkół Ogólnokształcących i Zawodowych joined today, with students, teachers and the school administration performing symbolic squats together for the teenager fighting to regain her mobility.
It was ZSB that nominated ZSOiZ to take part in the campaign. The response came very quickly – today, the school community joined the initiative, showing solidarity with Zosia and her family. But this is not the end. ZSOiZ has already nominated more schools: Zespół Szkół Mechanicznych and Zespół Szkół Elektronicznych.
The campaign has a simple format, but a very powerful message. Participants do “10 Squats for Zosia,” publish videos or photos, and pass the nomination on. As a result, information about the teenager’s story reaches an increasing number of people.
Behind the school initiative is the dramatic story of a young student at a surveying technical school. Not long ago, Zosia was preparing for exams, attending vocational training and planning her future. However, on her way to training, she was struck at a pedestrian crossing. The teenager suffered numerous, very serious injuries.
Today, Zosia is undergoing intensive and costly rehabilitation. Every day is another stage in the fight to regain her mobility and return to normal life. The support coming from schools is not only symbolic, but also helps publicize her story.
