During the meeting, issues concerning the Osiecznica municipality and Świętoszów were discussed. There were also questions about the military, as Jerzy Szmajdziński was the minister of national defence.

In response to a question from one of the meeting’s participants about why women have difficulty entering military service, Jerzy Szmajdziński said that he would look into the issue. The Sejm member believes that women are very much needed both in the military and in politics.

Minister Szmajdziński presented his views on the elections. He supports holding combined parliamentary elections and the first round of the presidential election, together with a referendum on the European treaty.

The main local issues raised by the residents of Świętoszów concerned the construction of a bridge, the transfer to the municipality of the wastewater treatment plant currently administered by the military, and the expansion of the sewage network.

Among those attending the meeting with the Sejm member were Osiecznica municipality head Waldemar Nalazek, Kazimierz Sas, chairman of the SLD District Council, commanding officer General Jerzy Krzywiecki, and Lieutenant Colonel Jan Rydz, a graduate officer and commander of the 10th Brigade.
