As the mayor explained, the City is preparing a comprehensive renovation of the municipal pond, rather than merely building the footbridge. As part of the project, it was also necessary to hire an ornithologist. – As you know, the swans have made an effort this year. We have a slight delay, and we are very pleased that the number of swans may increase – Piotr Roman said during the session Piotr Roman.
The scope of the investment is expected to be extensive. In addition to building the footbridge, the plans include cleaning the pond, analysing the inflow and outflow of water, and improving conditions for birds and other animals living there. As the mayor noted, this body of water has not undergone such a thorough modernisation for many decades.
The new footbridge is to be the most spectacular element of the entire project.
It is precisely this element that is attracting the greatest interest from residents, who are asking when the work will be completed.
For now, no specific completion date for the investment has been announced. As the head of the Bolesławiec municipal authorities stated, the implementation will depend, among other things, on the situation concerning the swans. At the same time, the mayor stressed that the most important thing is that funding has been secured for this purpose.
