A dangerous incident took place on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, in Chojnów. A courier delivering a cash-on-delivery parcel entered the stairwell of one of the buildings, where he was to hand the package over to the recipient. He was then unexpectedly attacked by a woman.
According to police findings, the assailant used pepper spray against the man. She then tried to snatch a package of considerable value from him. Despite severe irritation to his eyes and skin, the courier kept his composure and managed to defend himself. The attacker’s plan came to nothing.
The injured man got out of the building and took shelter in his vehicle. He then asked a witness to call the emergency services. Paramedics arrived at the scene and provided him with the necessary assistance.
The case was taken up by police officers from Chojnów. The officers immediately began operational activities, analyzing the information collected and determining the possible course of events. Thanks to their swift response, they managed to locate the suspect within just a few hours.
It was established that the detainee was a 43-year-old resident of Chojnów. During a search of her residence, officers found nearly 70 saleable portions of methamphetamine.
The woman was placed in a room for detained persons. She is to be brought before the prosecutor, where she will face charges related to the attack on the courier and possession of drugs.
She faces up to 15 years in prison for the crimes committed.
