On Sunday, May 24, 2026, Kliczków Castle will once again become the center of sporting excitement. The third edition of BoryRun will take place that day—a running festival that attracts more and more participants from the region and across Poland every year.

The event takes place on trails running through the Lower Silesian Forests—one of the largest and most picturesque forest complexes in the country. The organizers emphasize that it is precisely the contact with nature and the character of the forest trails that distinguish BoryRun from other running events.

Participants will be able to choose one of several distances suited to their level of experience. The program includes: marathon, half marathon, a 10-kilometer castle run, a 10-kilometer uniformed run and nordic walking over a distance of 5 km.

One of the event’s most distinctive features will be the uniformed run. This special category is intended for members of services such as the military, police, fire service, Border Guard and prison service, as well as uniformed classes and paramilitary formations. Participants will complete the 10-kilometer course in full uniform and military footwear, which significantly increases the difficulty and gives the competition a unique character.

The organizers point out that the uniformed run is not only a sporting competition, but also a form of integration among communities and an opportunity to emphasize the importance of service and physical fitness in the daily work of officers.

BoryRun is not only an event for adults, however. Another important part of the program is BoryRun Active—an activity zone for children and young people. The youngest participants will take part in fitness challenges and physical games promoting an active lifestyle and limiting the time spent in front of screens. Each participant will receive a race number and a commemorative medal after completing the prepared events.

The start and finish of all races will be located by Kliczków Castle, which, as the organizers emphasize, gives the event a unique setting and attracts both competitors and spectators.

Registration for the event is available through the organizer’s website. BoryRun is an opportunity both for experienced runners and for people who are just beginning their sporting journey and want to test themselves in unusual forest conditions.
