The symposium will last ten days and begin on 12 July. During it, the artists will create works in the studio of the International Ceramics Centre and present their works and achievements at artists’ talks (from 12 to 16 July in the BOK-MCC conference room, every day at 7:00 p.m.; admission free).
The following artists from Bolesławiec will take part in the symposium: Kamila Michoń (painter, student at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław), Edyta Orlińska (ceramic artist), Zbigniew Zieliński (painter), Magdalena Konieczna (glass artist), Agnieszka Bandzior (ceramic artist, student at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław), Rafał Tur (graphic artist, photographer), and Mateusz Grobelny (ceramic artist, sculptor).
The German side will be represented by artists from Kamenz: Volker Lenkeit (painter), Frank Voigt (sculptor), Tanja Rein (painter), Moni West (painter), and Katja Springer (painter).
Two happenings will be organised during the symposium: one in Bolesławiec (21 July) and the other in Kamenz (22 July). The artists’ work will be presented at two exhibitions (in September and October). The symposium will be documented by a bilingual catalogue and a documentary film.
The “Boundless Fascination with Art Bolesławiec-Kamenz 2011” project is co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund and by state budget funds, with the support of the Nysa Euroregion.
